Register now and we will send you an invitation a couple of hours later.

Step 1: Sign up for an invitation

In good old Web 2.0 tradition we are launching the freenigma service as a beta release. "Beta" means that the software is not finished yet. We need people who would like to test drive our software. We want to learn from our users and extend the system using your feedback. When you sign up for an invitation, we will send you an invitation URL a couple of days later. We are really excited about freenigma and we hope you are, too!

As a company whose main business is security, we do not sell, rent, share or trade any contact or account information. And because we are a German company and practice our business from Germany, we operate under the very strict German privacy laws.

Step 2: Register your freenigma account

You will receive an e-mail with a unique registration URL. Click on it. We will use your e-mail address as your account name. Enter your first name and last name and enter all e-mail addresses from which you want to use freenigma. Finally you have to choose your password.

Step 3: Install the freenigma Firefox extension

With one click, you can download and install the freenigma Firefox extension. After installation you have to restart your browser and login to your new freenigma account.

Step 4: Invite your friends and business partners

Now you can invite your friends and business partners to freenigma. (While freenigma is still in beta, your invitations quota will be limited). You can invite existing freenigma users directly. New users receive invitations via e-mail. When an invitee accepts your invitation, you can immediately start encrypting your e-mail communications.

Step 5: Send encrypted e-mails

Go to Google Mail, Yahoo! Mail or Hotmail, login and you will notice the freenigma toolbar. Write a new e-mail and address it to one or more of your friends who have already accepted your invitation to freenigma. When your have finished your text, click the "encrypt" button in the freenigma toolbar. freenigma now shows your encrypted mail in the mail body text field. Press "send" to send your encrypted mail to your freenigma friends.

Step 6: Read encrypted e-mails

When you receive an encrypted e-mail, freenigma senses this and provides a "decrypt" button in the freenigma toolbar. By clicking the "decrypt" button freenigma will ask you for your password. Enter it and you will see the decrypted text of your mail including all text formattings.

Step 7: Goto Step 4

That's it! Didn't we say it was easy?! ;-)
